SCORE!

Post by SHAUN »

I made a good score this after noon.

A Tamiya FWD Golf V5, kit #58206

Everything is brand new, it has been assembled but not run at all.

I only gave $25 for it.

Open the box.

Lookin under the body.

3 step mechanical speed control, these are all the rage nowadays, aren't they?
Image

Chassis, thats an 11t double wound motor that came with it, How ever I just don't think that the Tamiya trans will hold up to it.

It appears that the car has not ever been run, here is a pic of the comm. The comm actually looks better, the light just caught it weird.

Everything it came with layed out on my workbench.

Thank you,
Shaun

Good score, man. Tamiya has started to include a basic ESC, now.

I've been eyeing their old school bug. :???:
But I have enough RCs that I don't use as it is. I'd just have a shelf queen.

I'll give you $27.50 for it :-)

Need help with ESC. Typing fast so sorry for grammar.

Wire has broken off of the board on my tekin rebel 2, its one of the wires that goes to the on/off switch. I have no clue where it goes and can't find a place for it. You can see the one that has come off the board in the picture. Please help.

a new comm is glass smooth. that ain't.

a cut comm will have a ridge near the armature and cut marks for the entire length.

a motor that's been broken in will have a depression with score marks and arc pits that line up with the brush.
