finally able to get at this thing again after dealing with a few other things that took higher priority.
some of the lengths were a bit off but it didn't turn out too bad for my first brazing job in over 12 years.

3 1/2 hrs of build time from lengths to chassis.
And the rocks that this truck will go on.

It's funny, I just figured out yesterday that I could just make a cage like this for my stretched ZZMT. I was having troubles with finding a light body and then this idea came to me. Now I have a good goal to set out for, except I'll be using electric fence wire.

You need a Dremil to cut it and you can bend it but its tough. If you're making a tight bend go slowly or it can snap, But foe strenght ans light weight you cant beat this stuff.

I love Piano Wire. I made plenty of slot car chassis out of it. I still have a small stockpile at home to use. I use it for the roll cage and nerf bars on my Modified BitChar-G.sidewinder wrote:http://www.kitkraft.biz/home.php?cat=58 ... xwodP2garQ![]()

Good thinking Sidwinder and Bilbo, maybe this way people will stop telling me I did a good job with the paper clips. What diameter would you recommend?

I have a bunch of different thicknesses. Usually trial and error is my way to go. Pick up a few of each diameter if you can, most decent hobby shops stock it.Smoke&Mirrors wrote:Good thinking Sidwinder and Bilbo, maybe this way people will stop telling me I did a good job with the paper clips.
