That looks great.

they're rc4wd "landies" - designed for scale built landrovers. They're a 1.9, and easily the most scale wheel's i've seen to date.

Re: my ax10 scorpion
okay, so the kamtec body was way too narrow - i got halfway through cutting/shutting the body and got impatient, so i bought one of the hard shell off ebay.

I liked how smooth it ran and rolled over the terrain in the begining.
But I don't know what happened when the ascent attempt started....

Re: my ax10 scorpion
glad you liked it dude
the ascent thing... is actually a different section of the rocks than the one i intercut with. (you can sorta see where in the background). there were a lot of side angles and a step-up.
The shitty thing is i drove it once to test if it was worth setting up my phone and driving that line... and drove straight up. then i set up the camera on a rocky ledge, and proceeded to waste a large chunk of memory on what you see there - i just couldn't find the same line.
The truck is pretty rear-heavy at the moment - battery etc all mounted rear of transmission. I'm mounting up the winch and a new bumper soon that should get the front over a little easier.

So, how do you like those tires? They look too clean to have been used in the mud, but have you played in the mud or water with them yet?

Re: my ax10 scorpion
Just wondering.... I really liked them when they first came out. But, I only want to invest in one set for now.... I have only one 1.9 wheeled ride, so I don't want to get them, and find out later that I don't like them or they don't run well enough for what I want. I know, it'll be a crapshoot.

Re: my ax10 scorpion
some shots taken today - changed over to RC4WD scale shocks, and they don't work as well but i still prefer them over the droop setup - ride height is more realistic.
I've shifted the battery/electrics up the front which helps a lot with climbing.
i really should have made a roll cage, as the body is getting quite banged up. oh well, adds character...

IBJ - about the tyres, the side blocks have chipped pretty badly from the coarse rocks here. i get the feeling that would happen with any tyre though. they work okay when wet and shed mud pretty well for a more scale tyre.

Re: my ax10 scorpion
It reminds me alot of the Dodge Ram 50, I had one not too many years ago, great engine and drive line (Mitsubishi) but up here, the body and frame rusted non-linear...sad because it was a great truck and I lucked out and had the long bed version - great for haulin dirt bikes.
