Very cool place, is that near an idle or extinct volcano?

None that I know of in Florida. It's all coquina rock, basically compressed seashells, wicked grippy.
The formations are pretty insane. Tidal pools form and eat through the rock forming round holes that look like someone drilled them out with an auger, perfectly round. Looks a lot like a mini Moab in several places.

Sediment, got ya...for some reason I was thinking it looked like pumice.
I guess if I had looked at your avatar I would have remembered you were in Florida, for some reason I was thinking Washington state.

Nice! That hole looks to be just the right size for your Tamiya, I suspect my WK would be a tad too wide.

It looks like a Green Anole (chameleon), they are all over Florida. When I went down to visit my uncle in the Keys I stopped at a hotel for the night, the air conditioning was shot so I left the window open. When I woke up a Brown Anole was sleeping quietly on the blanket near my feet. It freaked the hell out of me and amused the hell out of the clerk. I guess they don't normally get that close but apparently I got a stupid one.

I used to have some Anoles as pets, 2 browns and 1 green.
Looks kinda big for an anole to me, I'm suprised you got that close to it with your cc01.

I'm in St Augustine, about an hour south of Jacksonville. Pics are from Matanzas inlet, about 1/2 hr. south of me. Sunny Acres is merely a state of mind... albeit a slightly warped state of mind, there's a lot of retired folks around here.

No lizard, just a rock. There are a shit ton of them in the area but I've never really seen them out on these rocks probably because they're below the tide line.
Nice graphic by the way Sidewinder.
Went back there last weekend and managed to get swamped by a rogue wave.

Luckily the electronics were ok after disassembly and some rubbing alcohol. I haven't pulled the drive train apart yet but I'm sure it's not pretty. Damn saltwater!
Best part about this location is that they use it quite a bit for bikini shoots. Some of the chicks on this site were shot here.

Little hard to look cool playing with a toy truck on the rocks but the odds of me hooking up with any of them are pretty low either way.
