SideKick Build

Post by SHAUN »

I've been wanting to do a real scale build for a while now. Finally getting started on one.

I'm going to run the Proline Descender body.

Plans are;
SideKick body
k3-2l frame(cut down, or I might build my own, already have the k2-3l though.)
Tlt axles
1.9 RC4WD Tomahawk tires
1.9 RC4WD OEM Black Steel Wheels
AX10 Tranny

Sliders, bumpers, and a partial exo-cage.

Got started tonight.

The bends actually do match the body lines, it just looks off in the photo.

I still have more work to do on them, I'm going to work on the bumpers tomorrow, then I'll start getting the chassis sorted out.

Looks pretty good. You did a nice job on the rails. Did you just use solder and something like a pencil torch for the joints or something else? Perhaps some of the aluminum brazing rods I've been seeing so much of?

That looks like a great start! I'm kinda suprised you're going for a Kicktrack instead of Sammie body with it.

I wonder if the rock sliders will be grabby since they have the double bends?
