So sg219 bought Payasos Bandit right...

Post by Bird »

Yeah... what the title says... lol this shit is getting kinda like six degrees of separation...

So, being that this is his first 1/10th electric, he had no support equipment... that's where I come in...

I break out the trusty 'ol vintage MRC charger and my collection of packs and get to chargin'... next thing you know, you got a late night dune buggy snow session in front of my crib...

Bone stock for now, but I gotta say, it's fun as hell as is... I'm thinkin' that the Tekin esc 219 just got from Hiroto is soon to be the first upgrade, but what do I know... it ain't my shit :-)

But, what kind of friend would I be if I didn't lend him my packs and charger... hope you're having fun homie, I'm gonna be needin' that shit back soon.

It's uncanny, man... we were taking turns... he ran a pack through it, I ran a pack through it... on and on... I was having full on deja-vu of the first night I had my Rustler back in '96... they feel EXACTLY alike with the stock motor and gearing...

I'm gonna let him hold onto my packs and charger until I get some Deans plugs and a new lid for my 4-Tec... I got some true pimp flavor in the works with that thing... yall gotta wait, though... it's a surprise :-)

actually the bandit, stampede, and ruslter(electric) share alot of the same parts, give or take a few. the transmisssion ive found to be one of thebest imo i love it because its easy to work on and hard as a rock. once your stinger blows up youll see the light when you get a motor that isnt sealed endbell...still fun though. if you need any help with parts or the like please ask me, ive had more knowledge about the e-pede than any other r/c ive had.

Hey look it, you got a Motor Man battery. I had some of those, and some of their motors too. Who was that, that sold that brand? Hobby Wharehouse of Sacremento?

@ bird...Thanks for thowin' up the pics. Here and the Nitro shots. :-)

Thats what I was thinkin'. I never had one, but everyone around me had one of those. I got to drive them quite a bit.

Since Bird was kind enough to let me borrow his batts and charger, I've ran about 6 or 7 packs thru it already. I took it to work today and passed the TX around in the parkin' lot.

The batt died on one run and sent one of my managers after it.

I gotta get some packs. FAST!!! :driving:

When you get some batts, get the 7 cell hump packs. It'll give it a lil more umpf, but I'm sure you were already thinkin that.lol

Frogs were killer. You should bust it out. It ain't going to be worth so much you'll be rich, so just don't beat the shit out of it.

Cabo has a badd ass turbo optima, and he's scared of it now, cause it peeled out on his weiner.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

I picked up one of the hump packs last night while Bird and me were out on the RC roadtrip.

I got this one, I guess the hump is on the other side of the pic.

Plus, I paid $24.99. No shipping. :)

About and hour later now, and I just went and ran the Bandit with the "Hump 7" in it and it's fuckin' sic now!!!

It's so much faster.

I also noticed that the whole mechanical speed control ststem gets really hot with this pack, along with the motor.

Told ya.... :-D

That stock esc is set up to handle a 7 cell, but yeah, they do get on the warm side... I've seen people cut venting holes like in a nitro for cooling of the ESC, and cells..

I never even got to run that one with a 7 cell, but I know it cooks it...

Have fun dude, adn now it's time for a vid.

If my camera man (Bird) can break away from the crib for a few moments, I'd love to shoot some vids. It's a bitch to shoot and drive and then it makes the vid suck. :-(

I'm giving the XXX an under the hood cosmetic makeover and then the Bandit will get one too, a upgraded ESC (Tekin, thanks Hiroto) in it and lose the mechanics.

Vids will soon follow. :-)
