Custom Nylint Crawler

Its been a while since I've posted any projects. I finally got the pics resized and ready to post.
Wal-Marts sells a 1/18th scale Rock Crawler made by Nylint Toys.
I did several things to it, then totally changed the whole thing.
I learned a lot of these procedures from Ripper7777777's projects. I ran with them as you'll see. Thanks Ripper.
I streched it out, added some real electronics, and made it propo by adding a HS-81 for the steering. but didn't really like the toy feeling that it still had.
Here's the pics of the original stretch done with a Sharpie, a Bic pen, and a couple of screws.
At this point is where I went all custom. Chassis, suspension, and everything else.
1/4" copper pipe for the arms.
GE lexan for the chassis.
Automotive brakeline and 4-40 rod for the arm and shock mounts.
Traxxas nitro engine bearings on the arm ends.
Dynamite 19T ESC.
Traxxas 27mhz RX.
T-maxx shocks.
Some springs I found at Lowe's home improvment.
I also clipped the treads for better traction.
Here's the pics........
I still have a bunch of work ahead of me. I need to mount the arms to the axles via capturing the bearings that are held on by flaring the pipe ends.
Plus paint and mount a body. I'm not sure what body, or how I'm going to mount it, but I've been winging it since the begining of this project, so why stop now.
I do have detailed blueprints of all the parts that I made as I went along. Chassis measurements, and both rear and front arms, plus all the other stuff also.
I was working on the axle mounts tonight. I hope to finish it up before 2007.
