Mini-T Rear Axle

Post by canabits »

Picked up a used Mini-t with a heap of extras recently but when it got here and I had a closer look I found one of the rear axles could go with a replacement.

Had a quick look at a stock replacement, but then spotted some MIP CVD's at the lhs on clearance and ended up walking out with neither until I had some time to read up.

Haven't found alot, but from what I did find sounds like the CVD's will be coming home this weekend.

Anyone give any serious reasons not to go with the CVD set-up? (with the clearance price it's gonna cost me the same as the stock outdrive/dogbone/rear axle set).

No reason's not to get them but many reasons too. I could tell a difference after installing my cvd's. They were one of my first upgrades on my T. They really help to smooth the Mini-T out when accelerating and decelerating.

CVD's :-o

I'm partial to the 3Racing brand. But if you get them, you have to use the 3Racing diff with them.

If you can get some MIP CVDs, for the price of stock, I'd jump on that with a quickness. Those deals don't last long.

Totally worth it.

MIP (Moore's Inventive Products) invented the CVD, all others are copies. I wouldn't go with anything else... Unless I could get a set on clearance for the same price as stock.

Thanks guys.

CVD's bought and installed for just over $15CAN (usually around $30CAN). Immediately noticed an improvement over the old outdrive/dogbone/axle set-up.
