Well i've been hanging out with some racers that have some nice 1/18's and to say the least i've caught the bug big time. Especially when i saw a mamba 1/18 wind up for the first time. So i've been saving ever since. What i really wanted was a Truck that was high and powerful enough to take off road but yet still can hold its own on the straights etc.. Also not so heavy i feel like i'm driving a 1/10. I drove a couple RC18's but they were not my style, when it comes to rc trucks i'm a monster truck guy. So I looked around a lo and behold i found what appeared to be the perfect truck for me. The hotbodies minizilla. So i started looking at pics and videos and i was hooked. And just around that time a friend of mine puts up for sale his minizilla. It has some CF parts and alloy but the big selling point for me was the mamba. To say the least i'm stoked and cant wait to get it in a couple weeks or so.

Just under $300.

So any tips for a soon to be mamba owner. I heard castles link is well worth the money?

That's a pretty good deal. I don't thinkl I'll ever be able to afford that many hopups for my MLST.

I've decided I'm gonna be the anti-brushless guy. If you look at the results from the 1/18th scale nationals, any race where brushed and brushless motors participated together, brushed motors took the top 3 spots. Brushless have tons of off the line torque, which we don't need and soak up in the slipper, then tons of top end that I'll never see, because I don't have too many wide open areas to run. I'm telling you guys its that midband power range that wins races.

Too true dave too true. I would have gone brushed if i planned on racing more than 1 time a month, but i just dont have the time to haul all my stuff out for the hour ride to the track. That and theres a nice long paved road in front of my house waiting to be driven on.
