Sand Rail

Post by SHAUN »

I know, I have to many projects, but this one was just so damned tempting. I was looking around for something to do, I see my rustler sitting there, then I see a sand rail on RCC. I went by AutoZone to get some steel brake line, and then by O'reily's to get a better tube bender.

When I got home I started to make a few plans, then started in cutting and bending.

This is what I came up with, remember I still have to do the front clip and I know I didn't tape it together completly semetricle.

Hehe, ya I'm going to try hard to finish it, I need to go by Thompson bros tommorow, and get some of those magnetic things that will hold together metal while braising. I also ran out of line, so tonight comes to an end.

You need to sand that coating off of the brakeline, when you braze it, it gives off toxic fumes that will give you brain damage

Lookin good, though... I'm pretty sure I know which one you based it off of, and that one is bad ass...

I'm pretty sure I know wich one your talking about I'm basing it off of, and I always strip my brake line before braising, I'm not that stupid.
