GTG's

Post by sg219 »

I know of a couple of members that are into the rock crawling scene and others that might be interested in hooking up and running some trucks and having some fun.

Yes, there are our specific sites that we visit to organize events, but if there is one that you would like to share, post it up here.

Maybe a couple people might see whats going on and join in if they can, either on the forum now or in the future.

I'm headed up to a meet where MidgetMan will be at tomorrow in Akron, OH.

The info on Midgetman's meet.....

Here is where the meet will be.....

http://www.summitmetroparks.org/parks/g ... directions

Here is the site they use with the time and more info.....

http://z7.invisionfree.com/Nostr/index.php?

Info on the WPAC meets.......

http://www.ab-charles.com/phpBB2/index.php

You can also check out RCCrawler.com under the GTG section for more info, as the the Hobby shop site is still growing a following by the members.

Then there is a meet for the Western PA Crawlers (WPAC) June 30th at A.B.Charles hobby shop to build an outdoor RC Rock crawling area.

Then a GTG/swap meet for the WPAC group July 1st, location TBD.

Then a WPAC competition July 15th at the Yorkville Damn in Ohio, about 45min from Pittsburgh.

So with that info, please feel free to post up when and where any meets might happen. It would be awesome to meet some people and run some RC's!!!

If there is a demand for this kind of section, above and beyond just a single thread and post, I'll ask Cabo to make one. :-o

Thanks,

Great video, I live about 45 min. away and now I really am considering a crawler. I've been thinking about building one anyways since I have a State Park in my backyard.

I live just outside of Loudonville. I'm about 2miles from the Mohican State Park. If your ever driving through and see the McDonalds I'm an the far side of the hill behind it. But I am in Akron every now and then and
I might be doing my master degree/Phd work at The U of Akron. But for right now I just go for Rasicci's Pizza every now and then. :-o If your in Akron (ok acrossed the bridge in Cuyahoga Falls) try their deep dish and get lots of napkins!

My truck was dead most of the day, about 90% or more of it.

I only ran it for about 20 minutes that day in total. It was all messed up.

I blew the rear axle in the first 15 minutes, then borrowed one, installed it then cooked the motor about 10 minutes later. Rough day.

I did put a pic of my truck at the end of the vid. :-o
