motors, motors
Ok, I tried to have people read it in the rustler spur thread but you didn't reply so I have a little problem.
I can't decide to keep by 19t setup in the rustler or go brushless. The rustler has 3300 mah 6 cell stick packs, they're GP'S
Or just put brushless in my mini t which has 1400 mah ib cells.
Which would be more fun? Give me your opinions.
Faster?
The mini t is the pro chassis model.
Thanks for any help,
John

Running mod brush motors you have to constantly maintain them, break them in, cleaning, applying lubes, change brushes, cut the comm, and if you don't have a $100 dollars for a comm cutter you'll have to track down a LHS that has one, or scrap the motor when it starts to slow. Brushless are more expensive, but the pay for themselves in the long run, with zero maintainence. If you have the dollars to invest, then why not?
Me personally I don't really have that kind of money so I just run more mild setups in my cars, and pretend I'm satisfied with that.

i know
I know that the BL motors are less maintenance.
My question was should I put it in my rustler or Mini-T?

Guess I should have paid more attention.I can't decide to keep by 19t setup in the rustler or go brushless.
Personally, I don't think that's a question we can answer for you. That would be entirely up to your preference of the cars and the scale, but I can say, a larger car is gonna be more controllable at speed. I'm not positive of the difference, but I do know a smaller motor draws a lot less current. So I'm not sure how big difference the batteries will make.

Re: sweet.
Make sure you take it easy for the first little while. Going from brushed to brushless is like going from a 4 banger on pump gas to a V10 on racing fuel.trekbikedude wrote:I'm putting a mamba in the mini t once I get my new front bulk head.
