EXOTEK Tek18 Gaphite conversion for RC18T

Post by dogbreathracing »

My newest toy....an EXOTEK Tek18 graphite conversion with full alloy options, super diffs, steel gears, Mamba powered, and ready to rock.

this conversion has removed 100% of the chassis flex and 95% of the steering slop found in stock RC18s....but it is SPENDY!!!

view of the other side

This conversion does several things, it moves all the batteries aft and centerd for better off-road weight distribution. It moves the motor forward and places the spur gear in the center of the chassis (there is a center slipper clutch in the works that should be released in May) It moves the steering to the opposite side and uses a new steering crank to remove the slop and provide crisper turning.

Pretty yes....but no Shelf Queen...it was built to run.

The reason it is so clean is that it is only 48 hrs old!

The conversion kit comes with graphite chassis, graphite drive shaft, graphite top plate, alloy top gear cases, alloy motor mount, and alloy steering crank.

You have to use the kits top gear cases to fit the top plate.

The gear cover set is seperate.

All other alloy shown was seperate.

You will need an almost complete RC18 series kit to finish it, lower gear cases, arms, hubs, pins, bearings, towers, shocks, ect ect
