Well i was driving around my mini t with the 6 cell and stock everything, and the transmission started to make this clicking sound so i checked how the pinion was meshing with the spur gear and it was off a bit so i fixed it but the car is still making the clicking sound. any ideas?

Can you hear it coming from inside the trans? Sometimes a worn thingy (that's the technical name) that turns the dogbone makes some noise. If its in the tranny casethe first thing to do before ripping into it would be to blow it out with compressed air to get rid of any lose stuff.

You say stock everything? So you are using the stock push on plastic pinion? I had the same problem with the stock pinion. I could've swore it was coming from inside the transmission. I discovered the clicking is from the pinion slipping. I ground the splines off the shaft, made a flat side, and picked up a Robinson Racing metal pinion with a grub screw to hold it on, and I never had another problem... with the tranny.

yeah you are right today i went out and got some of those replacement pinion gears and it stopped making that clicking sound. once i get some more money i am gonna get some of those titanium racing pinions and an atomicmods ball diff cause i heard those stock ones break fast. thanks guys.

I run a mod motor in mine and have had no problems with the diff. It's my personal opinion that most of the guys complaining are brushless guys that don't know how to set a slipper correctly, but, with that said, I want to get a ball diff too.

well if the clicking stopped I would say you had a rock in the pinion.
If I were you, I'd go with either a MIP or racer's edge ball diff

Could give me the link to the metal gears (pinion and any others you've found) as that has been my number one planned upgrade after the lipo balded two of my pinions? Thanks.
