Ol' Skool style for the Mini LST

Post by crazydave »

Got this Parma "Custom Classic" body for my Mini LST. The stock one isn't bad...

... but I had to get this one when I saw it.

It was advertised as a direct fit, and it pretty much is, mounted right up using the markings they provided for the body post, but it is a tad short on the chassis. I wish it came out to the bumpers more, then the wheel wells would line up better, but its cool, makes the chassis look more monster.

I tried different stuff when I painted this and nothing worked out. I tried using Hobbico liquid mask. After cutting these same flames out, they were wrecked because the film peeled off where it wasn't supposed to. So after wasting the whole day waiting for that stuff to dry, I decided to just slap some tape inside the body and do my best to follow the same cut lines. I got some Florecent Green Parma Fascolor to dab in the flames, but it was really thin, so I just smeared it around. The yellow was just supposed to be faded behind the green, with white showing in front, but I got carried away, so I said screw it, no fade. Overall, hassles aside, I think it came out really good. It definately looks sick, as I intended, at least I got that right. I threw in a Rat Fink sticker, to fill out the sick aspect.

You got mail. :-)

I wanna thrash it, I mean not like intentionally break it, but at least give it a good romping like I used to with the ol' Stampede. I think I got a better spot to get a run up on my ramp...

Only problem, I'm still stuck with the 6-hour charger for now, so I wont have a chance to charge it until Sunday. I didn't get to run it last weekend, spent all my free time on the body. So I've been anxiously waiting. :-D
