1955 nylint clark crane / 1966 structo dump truck

Over on scale 4x4 i've been drooling over construction stuff like excavators and dumptrucks.

Couple guys converted 1950s 1/16 scale Doepke Unit Cranes to rc dragline excavators. Cable excavators can use servo winches and don't need hydraulics, so it's not a $1000+ build. Hmm, i want that!

These nylint Clark T24 cranes are cheaper and bigger than the Units


Got it blown apart. Building pieces to add 3 winch drums and slew control to the crane. Then going for steer and drive to the truck.

Most shows have all these immaculate show trucks that cost insane amounts and are billet everything, kandy paints, murals... I roll up with a dirty beater work truck, slightly rude but hidden messages.
