My first Xmod wheel mod. They are XS Tuning wheels for model kits, but are the same size as the Xmod stock wheels. I had to drill out the d shaped hole and just slap them on.

nice! Can you be more specific about what wheels you're using? XS Tuning wheels? Is that a toy store item or hobby store? I can see from the picture you've already got a couple hundred bux into xmods. 8-)

I got them at my local hobby store, but you can buy them here too...
www.xstuning.com

They have a few different styles. To drill the D shape hole, I just drilled smaller than the hole I want, then used an X-acto knife to shape it from there.

It's more like over $300 once you include about 2 of every upgrade.

Yes, the rubber is interchangable, but the only difference is the Xmod wheels have the center ridge and the XS wheels don't. The next time I do this mod, I'll take pics and do a tutorial on how I cut the D holes out.

do you think that mini-z rims will fit?

They have a wider selection.

I had a thought on how to get some miniZ rims up on here. :???:
You could probably just jam some paper or gum or whatever into the gap created by the Dcut. That and a tight nut would probably work well. I guess I'll have to try it.
