Wanna see some of my 1/10th scale cars?
I'm always talking about them, because I loved them. (Wish I didn't sell them, but I love the guitar I bought
) Been wanting to show them off, but I lost the pictures when I moved a couple years ago.
Well I finally found them. So here's my babies that I miss, and keep talking about.

This is a pic similar to the one I got in RC Car Action. (They kept the actual pic) That's my Traxxas Stampede in the back. It was upgraded with bearings, slipper clutch, a Tekin Rebel reversing ESC, Trinity Ruby (17 turn triple machine wound) motor, topped off with a Parma '90 Blazer body, custom painted by me of coarse.
The car in front is my Team Losi XXT. A sport kit that I upgraded with bearings, titanium turnbuckles, purple anodized motor plate, Novak RacerEX ESC, Trinity Midnight, or Peak Nightmare 2 stock motors, various tires, springs, shock oils, etc. etc. depending on track conditions. I later added RPM 5-spoke rims that I never got a picture of. I had 5 battery packs, a couple Orion, the rest Ballistic Batteries.

The Stampede doing what it does best, flying. This is a mundane air, this thing regularly saw 5-6 ft. air. I had one good air pic, and I sent it to RC Car Action...they didn't use that one.

The XXT by itself. It's painted with Pactra poly-carbonate paint. Cheezoom Teal, and Lemans pink. I added shadow with candy purple, highlights with white, and I painted the windows Candy Purple too, for that cheezy ol' school purple tinting look.

This is my RC10DS that I set up for all out speed. It had a HPI 2-speed automatic transmission in it. (a centrifugal clutch), and a 10-turn handwound Reedy modified. (A freakin' 80 dollar motor!) Borrowing the radio, ESC and batteries from my Losi, I believe I came close to breaking 50 mph in this thing. it would pull wheelies when it clicked into second gear. First time I ran it, I tried to turn at top speed to avoid a wall, and the car lifted off the ground, flew about 3ft. in the air for about 20ft, then bounced and rolled another 20ft., I thought it was a goner, but I just ripped the boddy moints out. 3 dollar fix.
The Red Frog stickers on the side are some holographic ones from a gumball machine. I must have spent 15 bucks on frog stickers trying to get a matching one for the other side to base my theme off of.
That was most of them, I also had a Bolink Digger, and a Kyosho rally car, but neither one of those was ever worth taking pictures of.

It saddens me to say they didn't.ph2t wrote:Here's hoping that they went to appreciative owners..
Sold the Stampede to a teemager at work. He complained to me about the durabilty, because it didn't survive a header with a Tonka truck. (One of the big steel ones)
Sold the Camaro as a rolling chassis w/ motor on ebay, the buyer emailed me after he paid, asking what he bought. He didn't even realize he just paid over 100 bucks for an RC car. I don't know what was up with that, but he left me no feedback.
The Losi i also sold on ebay, with all my batteries radios, charger, etc. etc. The guy complained becaue one of the cheapy 10 dollar sport batteries didn't work. I told him, Sorry, but sometimes that happens when the batteries sit, I'll refund you 5 dollars, because that's about what's worth. He gave me hell in return, so I told him, look you got almost a 1000 dollars worth of stuff for 350. You got 5 other batteries that ranged from 60-90 bucks a piece, whay are you giving me grief over a 10 dolla battery. I got no reply after that, and no feedback either. I really thought I was gonna get negative feedback, after I he just got a freakin' deal and a half.
So no one appreciated them at all, those bastards.

That's too strange... why in the hell wouldn't he ask that question BEFORE he bid? This proves my theory... some people just need the shit kicked out of 'em.crazydave wrote:Sold the Camaro as a rolling chassis w/ motor on ebay, the buyer emailed me after he paid, asking what he bought. It was strange too, since it was just the chassis, I was very specific about what was needed to get it going, and that it was not a complete car. His exact question, no BS, was "What is it?"
Well I got his money, so I'll leave him for someone else to kick the shit out of.

Those are some sweet cars dood.... I don't think I could give up my 1/10 cars/trucks (most of them were gifts)
I actually went to the local track last night to get my race on, but missed registration by 5 min.... (story of my life)
So I sat, and watched everybody else race..
Next time I'll be early so I can get my shit together fast. Speaking of 50+ mph on an electric, click the link, and have a look at the 1/24 scale car that does 56.... Insane.

The second link is the track up the street from my house... (offroad)
http://minnregrcc.com/track%20info.htm
Dave, you could be getting some serious cash on ebay for some custom painted 1/10 bodies..
Do a search for custom T-Maxx bodies.. Some are going for more than a hundred... You can paint as good as them if not better.. IMO.
I could sure use one.....lol

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

I didn't know you have 1/10th scale cars, payaso. Let's see them.
The link to the 56mph car wasn't working for me, but that is one smooth offroad track you got there. The one I raced at, Scottsdale RC Speedway (SRS) was a gnarly coarse. Here is is at this years Cactus Classis, looks like they actually smoothed it out some more since I raced there.

Yeah dood.. Cabo, and myself had em since we was kids. I have no clue what happened to my old 1/10 Grass Hopper or Big Bear, but Cabo still has his Optima and shit..

I got some newones now, and there here to stay this time. I'll post some pics up, but my dreamweaver ain't up yet so somebody's got to host my pics.

The link of the track I put up is the layout from last week.. They haven't put up the new ones yet. It's got a fat ass double that just breaks shit.
I'll take some pics of that too.

Oh see, you two were the cool kids I was jealous of when I was I kid. I used to stare at Tower Hobby catalogs when I was a kid, but didn't get into RCs until I was 23, and was trying to realize unfulfilled dreams.payaso wrote:crazydave wrote:I didn't know you have 1/10th scale cars, payaso. I only sold mine, because for one thing I wanted to get serious about my guitar playing again, and I wanted to realize the other unfulfilled dream of having a decent guitar, and also because I decided I wanted gas powered RCs. So I figured that I'd get back into it someday, and it would be gas power all the way.
Little did I know I was going to have a kid that would break the budget, then I'd find 1/64th cars as an inexpensive alternative.
