well it's kinda hard to avoid a skyline really

previously it was a red r34 i waver body and has about 1mm clearance at the front so i decided to make this a track only body. i've learnt that bright colours are the best for these buggers on a track and there aint much brighter than flouro yellow! 8)

when i undercoated, some of the exposed red paint bled through, i figured once i started getting the colour down it would disappear. and it might have too, but when i went paint shopping i could only find flouro yellow in a polycarbonate paint. that's specifically for those clear 1:10 bodies as it eats into the plastic. so i knew i was gonna have interesting results!

after all the colour the red bled through alot, but i actually like it and regret not sanding back more spots for the red to come through! i scored some troy lee designs stickers from the local bike shop and cut to fit. after some nice shiny krylon clear glaze i added the mesh for the vents up front. it's added 10kph already!

Seriously, though... That flourescent yellow is the shit. And the decals are killer... I would have thought the skull was good for at least 15kph lol.

I agree about the colors needing to be the brightest to see those cars at top speed. Nice graphics too.

Are the alloys worth the $$$? They look kick ass.

silla :D

compared to wide plastic rims, i doubt there's much of a performance difference. but they're better engineered and way stronger in a crash than plastic ones. just buy some, you'll love em!

i wasnt aware that australians figured out how to mine ore out of the ground yet. did you have to construct a blast furnace on your own?

Nice ride. I think the bleeding color "effect" looks rather cool. Kinda blends in with the decals.

I had my new 350Z outside for the first time today in the parking lot. The lot is not all that smooth so any fast turns sent the thing tumbling. I flipped it at least a half dozen times and got my purty new body scratched up. So I came back to look at your Skyline again....I feel better now. :)
