Nothing fancy here,
Just experimenting on my beater body in preparation for my WRX.

So here are the befores:

I may do a step by step thingy, not sure yet. I'm trying not to pimp it up especially cuz i have no bodykits for it. But something may happen. It'll be the silver of the new supra body top.

Wish me luck. :-)

Yeah, good luck. :-)

I've always thought you had an interesting eye for graphics. I'd be interested to see how you've progressed over the last year or so.

Almost there:

Ok, so 1:10 seems to be getting big here in barbados. There is an 'RC invitational' on Sunday and they want you to bring ANYTHING  . So enter Xmod. I just got a pair of lithiums and I have to install them and finish paint before sunday. So no more plain silver, it's a race theme coming. But i got no decals :(. I have one maxxa designs decal left. I'm saving that for the hood of my WRX (if I ever get one)

I just hope that nothing breaks cuz i got no GPM yet. Any tips on how NOT to break stuff? So i can enjoy winning :)
Gunna employ dave's darker rear end theory. I haven't worked out the windows yet but all that ventilation will keep the motor cool for now :)

put a little jb weld around the parts that will most likely break if you can...

is that like super glue?

yeah, super glue would work also. also for a quick fix if you have really fast drying glue that will not dry, wrap some elctrical tape around it and pull it off. it makes contact with the glue and when you pull it off the glue will be dry.

so any way to strengthen the cups? I have a feeling they will go first.
Actually jump in the chat right quick

have a search back through the xmod forum, there's a mod you can do to the drive cups using heatshrink. basically put some heatshink around them and use a little superglue to hold it in place.

Take it easy when taking off and slowing down. I broke my stock axle cups after only running for a minute on liths.....Accelerate and decelerate gently.....that's about the best advice I can give. Good luck with it! :-)

all I can say is SHIT

I just installed the li-ions. My car spins on a dime now
I air tested it first and i could hear the speed and i was only squeezing to move the wheels.

Can you guys my black paint spazed on me :( so I'm very far off schedule. I may have to run my RSX. I hope not. going now to try the black section again

I try to always use Dupli-Color Auto paint, has a flat directional spray and
never clogs 8-)

Tip:

Always warm your paint before use, spreads more evenly. :D

when you're done spraying always turn the can upside down and press the nozzle until it sprays clear. and when you empty a can that still has a good nozzle, keep the nozzle and toss the can. and brush after every meal. respect your parents. and above all, never believe lies. :-D

Thanx for the tipos guys. Good thing its a beater. But i had to dreastically reduce the black part of the sceme. And the plak body kits painted so well  Those were done before the actual black on the body. I think it's cuz those corner areas were not sanded properly :(. I've changed the plan but it's still a race theme. I'm waiting on the 1st coat of silver to dry.
