Here is my first venture into 1:28 scale. I'll be picking up a mini z at Christmas and modding that too.

So far all I've done is;
paint job
steering resistor mod(tight turns mod)
2x3 stack fets (7317)

I'm breaking in a plasma-atomic motor as I speak and I've already got some lithium-ions waiting to be put in. I'm just doing one at a time so I can get the feel of what each mod does.

The tight turns (resistor switch) is worth it. I've got so much more response now. I don't think I need any more at the moment.

The fets are very much worth it. I was rather disapointed in the stock torque. Now it has much more punch.

The next test will be with the plasma-atomic motor (thanx PH2T/you da man).

It took a while for me to start. I had this car for about a month before I really drove it, then another month before I modded it. But now that I've put some time into it and run it around I have to say I like it.

You can't really do as much flossing with an xmod as you can with a bit. If you throw a putty body kit on, it will likely get smashed off pretty quick. There are some other solutions, but it's just not like a pimped out bit. May never be like a pimped out bit. But racing wise, it's much better AFTER the fet and steering mod. My last formula 1:64 car could have outrun this thing when it was stock.

Thanx for the props on the paint job. I didn't put much heart into it cause it's gonna get the snot beat out of it. But I gotta say I like it. I'll probably end up repainting it someday when it gets really beat up looking. For now though, the clear coat seems to be holding. I've already whacked some stuff pretty hard and it didn't really leave too many marks.

That's exactly where I got the paint idea from. :-) I changed it just a little though.

Looks great! How about some pics on a non-white background?

Can anybody else see that with Black front and rear bumpers?

Thanx.

I don't know. It may be too much. Now a black line/stripe in a few places might work. Or some black at the very bottom edges. I like to keep it simple though. I've learned that over doing stuff isn't all that good in the final product.

Maybe some of the "Science Of Speed" decals instead of lines. It looks damn close to their track attack car.
