MR-02 Custom NSX
Been busy lately getting some paint jobs done. This use to be an Epson NSX Kyosho style. I got rid of the front fins and did some other body repairs to it. It's been begging for a paint job after I've beat it senseless.
Anyways, specs;
MR-02 RM
2 X 3 stack of irf7317 fets
Plasma-Atomic motor
bb
Iwaver ball diff
Oil shock
Gandini foams
CF H-plate
Air scoop has been drilled out to provide more air to the motor (I'm not copying you Max, we just think alike.)

The last picture kills me. Who says cars don't have personality?

Damn...I am really lovin' that color. To me it's very different, and I like that on cars with alot of cuts and lines like the NSX.
I think it's a perfect choice for the beast and really does give it its own lil' personality. I was thinking of painting one of my Mclarens, or my murcielago, but not sure which type of paint is best?
Did you wet sand the kyosho paint prior? Just need a lil tipsies on the step process before I jump away...
Sick ride, like I said before awesome color choice mosdef'!

Yes, I wet sanded with 400 grit and then smoothed it out a little with 1000 grit. It took some doing but it's really the only thing to do before painting over a previous kyosho paint job. Paint can't really stick well to the clear coat that normally comes on the Kyoshos or most other paint jobs on any car for that matter. Plus the decals need to be sanded off completely. Otherwise you can see their raised outline on the new paint.

Dude, the kind of rides you put out, I'd easily say I copied YOU.HACHI-RYOKU wrote:Air scoop has been drilled out to provide more air to the motor (I'm not copying you Max, we just think alike.)
Now if the Xmod NSX looked like that, I would have put the silver fade on the rear fenders, Xmod NSX looks like a damn BOX compared to that, nice and curvy

Swet job mang

Thanx man. The NSX is one of my favorites. In fact this is my first 1:28 scale car;

I gave it a panda theme and was all proud until I set it next to a MR-02 NSX. Then I realized that a Xmod body will look good, but like you said it ain't got the curves. You should pick up a few Kyosho/Iwaver bodies and see what you can do with them. You've got some mad skills and it's not the hardest thing to convert it to a Xmod body.
I'm lovin your NSX though. I've already downloaded the pics and set it in my collection of sweat ass pics.

Maybe that one went over my head, but I really dig his rides. I have pics of his rides on my computer. He's got some serious skills.
