Post by ynad »

About a week ago i was visiting a good friend of mine who is into lego (big time)
so, one thing  lead to another and a photo shoot emerged

it not much of a big deal, but after these pics were posted on lego forum it sparked much of hatin' to the friend of mine. link to the whole series of pics:
http://maxf.net/~ynad/zx/Xmodz_lego(2)/
while we thought of this as a good idea, some did not.
what do Pimps think around here? is it cheesy or could this fly?
EDIT: copy/paste link. for some reason system doesn't take> (2). it has to be there for link to work.
the whole issue in few words was : a 6 year old could put the display like that together. things like that should not be posted at lego forum 'cause it' is NOT lego. RCers=ricers :?
i'm not looking to pick sides. i just think hobby is to enjoy, whatever it might be. aparently some people think it is not ok to mix things.
i don't get it. just wanted to see some opinions. i could be wrong
now i'm not sure if this topic belongs here. i'll leave it to admins to decide

Photos are not bad but I think its becuse you picked less cheesy Legos.

I think Legos are cool and you can do so much with them but I think Legos should stay with Legos. The problem with mixing them is Legos tend to make everything they are around look clownish or Kid like, dont get me wrong I have seen some uber cool things made out of Legos. but I think Legos have there own place.

Now build an RC lego car... :???:

As far as I know lego not only has 1 but 2 RC cars.

I think this setup works for the 1/28 scale cars. Makes it look like the staging area at the dragstrip.

As for the mixing of lego/RC; if it works, it works, and I say go for it.

It's got like a semi futuristic look to it. :-o
Cause I ride around town on my low-rider bicycle.
