IIRC, over 900 bhp.

Man max.. when I saw that pic I started laughing. made me go 'wow they thought of the same lines as my paint job.

The car's body lines do tend to inspire similar paint scemes.
Yours is going to look SUPER. Before you spray, you can cut off the excess lexan off the front so that you can use it to make a front lip/splitter like in the pic...just a suggestion.

I had one for my subaru, but I just never used it

the front splitter was already added in by HPI. The two canards were modeled into the back of the body itself, which means they have to be cut out and CA'd onto the front.

OK I can't take it anymore so I'll just ask even if it makes me look stupid. What is CA? Is it just a term for cement/glue? or is it a specific brand? I've looked at all my glues and none have CA for initals. I know its a small point but its been driving me nuts.

CA is super glue.

well.. damn it all to hell! I just received news that the guy who I asked to lay down the candy blue may have fucked it up.

fuckin shit that was my baby and I was gonna show it off at a car show! Thanks a lot asshole. He'll be lucky if I don't eat his face.

It never fails. as soon as there is a deadline looming, things start to fuck up more and more.

nothin much to say except the lid is DOA.

there are runs at just about every intersection in the masking, which tells me the first coat was put on WAY too heavily.

looks like I'm going to order a second body.

At least the guy who screwed it up made amends by giving me a new body and four different colors. few nice ones too. metallic green, translucent blue, indy silver and flat white.. plus the candy blue.

Post some pics.

Take a qtip dipped in denatured alcohol and remove the paint where the colors intersect. clean it up with a toothpic. then spray the clear areas black. might look ok.

I'ts been awhile since an update was needed.

Here's the skinny: I got a new lid of the same kind. I finished it myself and it turned out pretty well. Also, I finished a second lid on the same day (Aug 04), but that one will be a suprise.

Pics will go up tonight. So hang onto your hats.
