Project Red Rover
Well I was going to wait to post this but after I saw a few other guys' build threads I figured it'd be alright to post it up here.
Well it all started a few weeks ago when I joked with my pal Porschelova(r7r) about him giving me his TLT axles and stampede transmission. And now I'm amidst an expensive TLT build trying to get it done by our first Northern Ohio Scale Trail Runners GTG on the 23rd.
Here's what she'll be running:
TLT axles w/Stampede Tranny
ripper7racing "HellCAT" chassis
LRP AI Quantum Runner ESC
Tower Pro MG945 servo (possibly 2 for 4ws)
Integy 55T
Associated XP3 tx/rx
Powerizer 3300 batts
E-Maxx Shocks/Springs
Masher 2K's on Axial Rockster Beadlocks
HPI Land Rover Defender 90 Body
and plenty of custom's
So here are the pics.
From the beginning
borrowed some rims and tires and trimmed the body
chose a 12" wheelbase and 3.5" transmission
thought my r/c needed an r/c
wheels and tires came =]
attached the spare tire with using a tire iron!
hexes and other shit are here!
so that's where she stands. Waiting on servos, paint, and chassis yet. I'll update when I have to. Till then. Enjoy!

Looks like it's gonna be reeeal nice, Midget Mang... Ya can't go wrong with the hellcat... I got me a "special edition" one(not set up for a 'pede)

The tranny is placed where it will be on the chassis, 3.5" off the ground. I got that dim directly from rip, who has never had any COG problems.guerd87 wrote:looking good, maybe might wat to pull the COG down a bit or it might be a bit top heavy, just going onwhere your tranny is placed currently
thanks guys, I can't wait to get this thing up and running.

It looked great on the truck today. The chassis and everything is well put together, both mechanically and colors. The truck ran strong ALL day!! Unlike some of the other casualties!!
It was definitely a a FUN day up in the state of OHIO.
