My practice session (drifting)

Post by Maxximum Attack »

I'm still learning to drift so my lines may not be as clean as some other videos out there on the net, but I kinda like how far I've gotten since the last video. So please, let me know what you think and offer some criticism of my drifting

nice, but when you go through the turns it looks like you trying a lot to get the right line.dont. just let the car do its thing...

how do you have your diffs set up? i've found out the way you set up your diffs make or break a drifter.

I have to re tighten the diffs, they've become a bit loose compared to how they were before. I'm just too lazy to do a complete tear-down.

They're supposed to be,
Rear: All but locked (very tight)
Front: Just a little looser than the rear

I'm guessing they're abit even judging my the angles I'm getting

I don't have 1:10, but on 1:28 softer front suspension helps a lot with the weight transfer. Could help with the next corner :-)

I don't get it. I like the whole drifting thing--it reminds me of my 73 Z28 and a K-Mart parking lot on saturday nights--but why only a few cars at a time at best. Hell, in this part of the country we've been sliding cars sideways--on dirt no less--at about 130mph twenty or so at a time, since the 1930's...they're called sprint cars. If you want the sport to be really cool, put out ten-twenty cars all at once and make them race at the same time. 1100lbs and about 850hp...150mph at Eldora Speedway!
