Coolest shit I've seen in some time

All about RCs in the air. If it's a plane, a helicopter, a ufo, or anything else that flies in the air - it goes here.

At first I was like, "Meh, don't really care for boats, how cool could this be?"

... but that was pretty damn cool. Who wouldn't want one?

I found a lot of threads at rcgroups.com about the plane. Here are three of them(really big threads).

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=380781 (plans for building one)

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=380007 (part I)

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=383474 (part II)

I'm pretty sure the part I and II are the main threads about this thing.
(I don't know if these were on the michaelconnally.com site, because it is down right now)

Edit: those free plans are not Mike's/Ernest's plans

All you'll need is a soldering iron, and a thick wallet. :-)

You'll drop $500+ getting into that puppy... Nothing wrong with that at all, but just thought I'd give ya a ball park ya know.

If I were you finks, I'd start with a bigger scale land based R/C. For one, you'll get the bigger more teched out advanced shit, and experience, and they'll take quite a bit more abuse, and two, you can get into it cheaper.

Just my .02 cents.

i'd say they ripped it. you'll notice those little side wings that aren't on the hydro foam.

they've copied it and changed it by 10% (it's legal)
i used to be cool

They definatly ripped the design. I've seen alot of hydrofoam planes outta China, didnt think megatech would be that shitty.
