Aero Ace

Post by 91LudeSiT »

Any of you pimps got one of these, it is made by Air Hogs. Picked one up at target for 30 bucks. It's a freaking blast to fly. Comes stock with a 130mah lipo, and it flies for like 20 minutes.

Here is some of the crazy stuff that people are building out of these things.

I've only done the throttle spring removal and added nose weight to remove the porposing.
Didnt bother to apply the included stickers. It flies great, working on some video.

Nice vids clint

I've been flying the Jet and Bi plane for about 2 weeks now and have been having a BLAST.

But this week was sure interesting.

Two Trees in one week luckily for me this time it was a palm, i got the plane down easy with a couple throws of a tennis ball. Earlier in the week though i had got is stuck in a very thick tree back in the brush about 20 Ft. up, it took a water bottle tied to a kite string and about 2 hours to get it down last time. Only to have to wait until the daytime to go back in the brush and find it.

Got a pic of it chilling in the palm tree today

After the crash i decided to take the lower wings off since i heard it does wonders for the flying. Boy does it ever, this thing cuts through the sky like a champ and not only is faster now, but even a smoother flyer and lighter (It also climbs higher too!). I'm also adding some landing gear for touch and go landing this week, i'll update with pics upon doing so.

I think this is number ten, or near number ten.. $30x10=

Obviously theyre lots of fun, and once you bust up the original airframe, the next round of fun starts.. Then you accidently snip or snap a motor wire off the can and off to toys r us you go for the next $30 fix :-)

Image

takes off in about 5 feet, and lands in one out of 5 trys, lol

frame was built from disposable foam plates, a piece of 1.5mm diameter carbon rod, a piece of thin metal rod and some bit wheels.

AND it was reported to be in the warehouse, available for Direct2U

Some dude on rcg said he should have his from radioshack by friday through the D2U, so that means it should be in stock that this friday or next..

Too bad I had to put a $30 order in somewere else that I had 'kinda' set aside for the piccoz, otherwise I would have D2U'ed it.

I figure all the euro chappies already have it, so whats the point of getting it from RS 'First' anyways... meh, lol..

good call on the aero ace. picked one up at toys r us yesterday and it's definitely worth the price of admission. let my 5 year old try it this afternoon half thinking that there's no way he's going to keep it in the air, and what do you know, he had it going for a few minutes.

ordered one of those piccoz's too. we'll see how good the kid is with heli's. :???:

I just may get 2 of those micro Heli's. One to keep intact, the other for the battery and charger to lipo a Bit.

$30 isn't too bad. Now to find someone coming to Barbados :???:

Does it hover and do cool heli stuff like that?
I just may buy a couple to sell, goto find some funds to invest....
