here's another look at my PZ, just added the skids and readjusted the weigh bias....flys good, even more stable than the stock body, and still comes in under 10 grams! Now it really looks like a "city flyer"

Hardware stores sell aerosol cans of foam insulation for 5-6$.
They dont dry instantly so you can spray it on and wipe it around with
your fingers. Then sand as needed. since it's only filling in the little
gaps it doesnt add much weight. maybe .5 gram.

As it sits now, the full apache body weighs 2.2 grams on the scale,
and I havent even gutted it yet. I wont need to use the tail
shaft or tail stickers, so i'll save some weight there too. I'll measure the
picoo's epp body when I tear it apart.

Great work guys! you can tell there has been some real time and thought put in to them, both of them are some great looking custom bodies!

Clint just as a little warning the spray foam dont spread it with bare hands use something you would not mind throwing away as it will stick to your fingers and it will have to wear off. You cant get that crap off with asetone!!! Trust a guy that has worked with that stuff a lot!

Just thought of something... couldn't you use the engine nacelles to hide the spur gear? I would look soo cool...

I might just get some foam so I can make myself a Hind.

Apparently it's far harder than I thought. Here's some progress. (right now it looks like a blob)

It isn't turning out as I envisioned, it's far too wide, and now there's a shitload of foam on my desk. lol.

I might just screw the front and make it a Huey.

Less complex lines and I'm already halfway there.

BTW, I accidentally punctured the LiPo, so I'll need another battery. Any suggestions? I don't have any extra LiPo's right now...
