I was gonna preorder on Monday, but I guess that's hardly a preorder now, huh?ibjamn wrote:My LHS said Micro-Ts are shipping out on this Friday. They are expecting them on Tuesday.
Did anyone preorder?
Wha?! Longer? 150mah cells shouldn't take 20 minutes. I was figuring it would be a 5-10 minute charge. They must be charging them real slow to help extend runtime. As a general rule the slower you charge a NiMH, the slower they discharge. You can also pack a little extra mah in there, because a slower charge means less heat, which means less expansion.I was reading the manual the other day, and it said that the charger charged the car batt in only 20 minutes!
I thought it would be much longer.
I just got my new Horizon Hobby catalog yesterday, had a picture of a Micro T jumping over a NT on the cover. No info we don't already know, but I did notice it says 8 Alkaline for the charger, and 8 Heavy Duty batteries for the TX. "Heavy Duty" Do they still make those?

Man I would love to see it in person, or Via a video from one of you guys. The promo vids just don't seem real enough. In real-world conditions it would seem a bit more believable.......RCdabbler wrote:Got mine on the way home from work today.
2 other people had preordered them at the LHS and they had 12 come in total.
The thing is quick and will wheelie very easily.
Mine was missing a E clip for the front tire but luckily I had one in my parts stockpile.
If posible, could you see if Xmod shocks fit it. Also, aren't the Xmod bearings the same size?

Nah, I have a few pictures of one taken apart by a member of a forum I'm on, but that forum is a private one, so you can't see the thread.ibjamn wrote:If posible, could you see if Xmod shocks fit it. Also, aren't the Xmod bearings the same size?
Here's a pic of the bearing size comparo. The bearing is Xmod sized.
Picture above thanks to Hawk.

An E-clip for the front tire? I hope you're not telling us the front wheels are held on the axle with E-clips. Those things are a nightmare.RCdabbler wrote:

A few pics.
Yes E clips hold the wheels on.
The shocks are just springs and the rear is to soft also and needs spacers I will try some grease in them to sort of dampen them(I hope).
These things really are a blast though and surprisingly quick. They do handle very well but to corner hard on carpet will take some tuning (rear shocks to soft)
A set of foam tires for carpet would be nice.
