They were back in the fishing/gun/exercise section. Some were down low, but they did have some up high on top of some shelves. Way up high.
I saw those Cabbage Pacth mats yesterday, they were on clearence for $5 and change a pack. I almost picked up a set for the hell of it.
I was thinking of turning them into Garbage Pal Kids.

Here's my Cabbage Patch Kids mats laid out in front of my bed.

It works out pretty well, but it was a pain connecting all the 1x1 pieces, and since it was for hop scotch, some pieces have an odd pattern so they line up between pieces. I had to keep those together, and cut out a tiny triangle on each one to make it work. I realized after the fact that the way those pieces line up would come in handy if you laid out a coarse with 12" lanes. That would would give you more options where you put the turns.
I was thinking maybe I could make portable barriers by glueing nails to some ribbon.
I'm still gonna track down those 2x2 squares, I think those would be better.
Oh yeah, and here one of the Cabbage Patch Kids for ya'll.

EDIT: After driving on these for a bit, I really like'em. I gotta find some of those 2x2s now.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.
