MicroBlast Portable Track.

Has anyone heard of this? It has its own carrying case and comes with what looks like a good amount of track. I won some Microsizers from the seller for .99 and saw this which ended 15 minutes later. I thought maybe I'll have the same luck so I threw down a dollar bid and won it. Can't argue with that price.

Yeah for sure. I got two Microsizers Pro with a Celica and BB body, plus to clear ones, and the track for a whoping total of $1.98. Damn inflation! Yeah, with shipping, which the guy combined, it comes up to just under $20 bucks. Believe me, once I get the package, there will pictures and probably a video.

Wow, that's cool. I'd never heard of those!

Off to the search engines....

Apparently 6 car styles, though the previous link seems to show a 7th. I found an article saying they've been out since 2003, and the latest reference I can find seems to be 2005. THey seem to have gone for about $13 new.

Apparently they made a boat

Also read about a tank

Hey Thanks for the links Frizzen, I searched Microblast and didn't get much. Shoulda went strait to the manufacturer. I know about their boats, I have a few. They are fun but kinda large and too cartoonish looking. I've actually taken one apart and plan to upgrade the motors with ZZMT ones and replace the old cells. I wish their was more information on the track itself. I'd hope that if it turns out alright some of you other pimps would be able to find some too.

:???:

Playing around on one of those last links, found something else interesting...
http://www.mgae.com/2004_product_pages/ ... tsPage.asp

Millitary Vehicles look a lot like a scratchbuild rather than a production piece.
Mini Trucks are kinda cool, but where were they when there were NO trucks anywhere?
Stock Cars look like you made a soap car then used it for about a month, Accurate Styling!
Tanks are wheeled and have a bad Sci-Fi movie look, maybe more APC or Very Light Tank I kinda like it.
Water Bikes are cartoony but interesting, I hadn't seen any micro PWC.
Water Racers are the aforementioned boats

Those cars sold at Toys R Us back in the day. Never seen the track before. Looks too narrow to really race on, but I'll bet it'll be fun none the less. A dollars worth for sure.

Well better late than never! Here are some pics of the track.

Overall the track is fun and the price was great. The bad news is it is alot smaller then I expected. For a microsizer with a 2.2 motor it was drivable and I felt like I was controlling the car. When I hit the turbo button it was close to slot car-ism ( :???: ). If I tried to steer the car it would just hit the sides and get sideways.

My final word, if you can get it cheap, DO IT! If not, don't go out of your way for it.

Yeah, we had a discussion about making tracks a while back, and everyone pretty much agreed a minimum of 8"-9" wide lanes is best.

Indeed these are a little too tight. It's mostly like playing Bumper Bits, which is fun, but there is a time and place for everything... :-x

Woah I have that red one (or had, its chassis is sitting dead in my dremel box) Mr grandma gave it to me. They're pretty fun and fast. About the track, I'd recommend just making one cause that track seems cheap and too small. My track is 2 in 1, trains and cars.
