My Xmod track.

I built this using the plans on the Xmod site, and modifying it a little.

Thanks, It is made out of 3/4" PVC. I can barely get to full speed on the longest straight right before I have to turn. This is more of a technical course. I bought some extra pieces so I can make it longer.

Yeah, I'm going to toy around with some different motor, tie rod, spring combinations and see what works the best. Another thing to account for...where it is layed out now, has a very slight slope side to side, so you are going uphill for the first hairpin, and downhill for the second. Makes for some interesting control adjustments.

I'll see what I can do for a video. I can only take about 30 seconds worth on my camera, I don't have a video camera.

No, it was laying close by, so I grabbed it for the pic. It really shouldn't have been out of it's little air tight cleanroom envoriment fireproof lock and key case in the first place. :???:

How do the Xmods run on the asphalt? Do they handle the bumps well?

Damn....talk about diggin' up an old thread...

I run my xmod on asphalt all the time...because thats what I have to run on. It handles it pretty well, as long as there aren't a bunch of cracks. Every once in a while I hit a crack or a small stone and it beats up on the steering knuckle pretty good. It takes a bit of a beating and gets dirty....but its a tough little bugger.
BOURBON TIME OUT!
