Well, very soon I'll be able to test for ACTUAL RPM!

Us who have the R-Spec know it's 'torquey', we'll soon know what the actul RPM is too.

my friend was talking about building a bit dyno but he realized that it would take a while so we just drove our cars and forgot about it.

he does have a stobe tachometer but it only measures up to 8000 rpms or something. my muscle car when it was in tip top shape did 4200 or so wheel rpms tho. if you multiply that by 9.86 my motor should be reving up about 41412rpms(this could be a bs calculation). if my weak attempt at math is correct i have a 4.1 motor.

Nah, no fancy Dynos (yet anyway)...Just an emitter/receiver that reads cycles per second (which then gets translated into RPM).

My only goal right now is getting REAL and THOROUGH stats on Motors, at the Motor level. Dynos and gearing and torque and such will be for down the road.

i showed this to my friend. he likes the idea of standardizing motor ratings but he says under no load means nothing.

Well the kit racers are basically bits, so that track should be the ticket... actually now that I think about it, I think I remember reading a post a while back where Tiny was trying to hook up with one for testing too.
