That is absolutely fuckin' amazing. Do you know how many people said it couldn't be done? I knew it could but I couldn't figure out how.

You're a genious because you made it simple enough that rest of us could do that. My only glitch is I wish I stocked up on clearance MTs so I had access to one of those bevel gears. I'm thinking with a couple crown gears from a slot car maybe that gear could be replaced with a pinion. :???:

I had the same thought. I was trying to think of other toys that would have a gear like that... Stompers? Something will have it.

That's a good idea, but for some reason I picture the right angles causing some binding... maybe 2-4 pinions spread out, which might equalize the pressure and minimize the binding.

remember each MT has 4 of these gears....

Convert one to belt drive, and you can make 4 bitdiffs.

actually, you might be able to grind down one side of a motor pinion gear to a similar angle. bunch of companies make plastic pinions.

0.092" aluminum tubing

Both sizes are from typical brass and aluminum stock found at most hobby shops. Doesnt have to be exact, since you need to ream out the holes in the gears anyway. I used some tiny drill bits.

No need for a ZZMT bevel gear. Any 3 similar zz transfer gears will work.
:)

Here's a rough mock up. Same basic design as before.

- Using the ZZMT bevel gear will make a very strong diff.
I've put it behind a 1/32 ferrari with a hot 130 motor and 7.2v lipo
with no problems. Although this new method is much weaker, it'll work
perfectly fine in a bit.

Well damn Clint. You just keep making it easier on us. You wanna just come on over here and install that in the car for me?

Seriously though, thanks for looking out for us. Only problem is now I'm out of excuses.
