Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Do you need propo to at least fly upside down? Can the PicooZ do at least one of the mad stuff that guy did? (Beside fly

Thanks for reviving this one

This is kinda what I see alot of people doing that is new to RC heli flying.
The link didn't work but , go to this link http://www.helihobby.com/html/rc_helico ... ideos.html and , scroll down till you see : Student Pilot started without his trainer.

The little Picoo will never be doing any of that.
It is propo, but that has nothin to do with it. It's in the main rotor. It has to be able to pitch, and reverse.
He's flyin with probably a 6 ch tx, and can flip the switches that fuckin fast.
To fly upside down, you'd have to completely reverse the rotor blades. His tx can do it in a flash.
We can dream though.

mmmkay, what we're talking here is fixed pitch (fp) and collective pitch (cp).
heli's like the pico are fp, the rotor blades are either bent or held at an angle and the speed of the motor dictates the amount of lift.
with a cp heli, the angle of the rotor blades is controlled by a separate servo.
so you bring the head speed up to say 75% then acheive lift by changing the angle of the blades while it spins.
the ultimate cp design (known as 3d heli's) is one where you can angle the blades at a positive or negative angle. this means that the rotors can push or pull.
so you can flip you're heli upside down and maintain inverted flight because the main rotor is blowing up.
while all this blade angle changing takes place the main rotor head never changes direction, there is no reverse.

LMAO... I didn't mean reverse, as in the rotor would spin the other direction... he he he
That would be impossible.
I just meant going from push to pull would be reversing.

another thing to note, on the higher preformance collective pitch helis the tail rotor also has pitch control. the the rotor is driven by a shaft or belt connected to the main motor/rotor.
on simpler helis, the tail rotor is fixed pitch and the motor speed varies. this obviously needs a bit more time to change the amount of revolutions.
