1/36 Team Losi Micro-T

Post by midget_man1387 »

I'm not sure if this is old news to anyone esle, but it's new to me. I just saw it on 1/18th.com and I decided to check out teamlosi.com for some more info. It's basically the mini-t's baby brother. Here are the specs:
1/36 Micro-T Stadium Truck RTR(LOSB0230)

* Fully independent suspension with friction dampers
* Differential-equipped transmission
* Powerful, pre-installed micro motor
* Included Ni-MH battery pack with portable alkaline automatic peak charger
* Team Losi 27MHz radio system
* Electronic Speed Control with Reverse
* High-traction rubber tires on pre-mounted on durable nylon wheels
* Includes 8 AA heavy-duty batteries for transmitter
* Includes 8 AA alkaline batteries for charger

Overview

Team Losi is out to take RC to every level with the Micro-T. The Micro-T is the smallest RTR that Team Losi has ever offered, coming in at just under 5 inches long. But just because it’s small doesn’t mean it skimps on performance. Packed with a Ni-MH battery pack, independent suspension, differential equipped transmission, automatic peak charger and 27MHz Team Losi radio system, the Micro-T has the speed and handling to tackle everything from the tabletop to the tile. Take it with you anywhere you go and satisfy your need for speed with the Micro-T.

Alright, that thing looks cool as shit...But there's no mention of Propo steering or throttle.

If it's full propo, then I'm 100% all over that!

...Then again, I'm sure Clint will be in here within the next couple of replies telling us he's already got it and did an AWD upgrade AND already made it full propo!

This is now my christmas present!

And, it uses a 130 motor, i'm exited, we are going to see some awsome rigs pop up!

I'm very, very pleased now, and I cant wait to get my hands on one! :-o

I really cant get over this!

EDIT : LOL at namuna, allthough that TX looks promising, I didnt realise about the propo thing, but I'm sure it will be :-o if not, a VMG board and micro servo would sit nicely :-)

Definatly propo, I don't think losi is going to put a non propo truck out...

Looks like they have a huge hit, if they don't fuck it up..... might be the biggest thing this winter. People are gonna walk into the hobby shop, see the display model, find out its $80 and buy one right there.

Well, it DOES say:
Servos: Sub-micro
Electronic Speed Control with Reverse
That certainly makes me think full propo. And on searching around about the Micro-T there's already talk about sticking a BL Motor up in that badboy!!

That 4.8v 150maH NIMH shite would have to get jimmy-jammed to 7.4v Lipo action pretty much right out of the goddamned box if I got it!

Jesus H. Monkeyshanks! I still ain't even had a chance to learn to fly my new helicopter and now THIS??!!

:?

The ups package with my TT-01 hit the doorstep about 2 hours before the rumors were first out yesterday, lol....

I'm pretty excited, should be good for micros in general now that there will likely be a 1/36 with full aftermarket stuffs, lol..

Shit yea, I've been thinking about this all day. I've been waiting for so long for a micro buggy/stadium truck and it's finally here.

As soon as I get some cash together, I'm going to pre-order from horizon.

Comes with a portable peak charger 8-) , runs of alkalines. But i'm sure it would be easy to make a wall plug for it. :-o

So clint, you made it AWD yet ?

EDIT :

Check it out...

Boost 1400 7.2v micro battery packs contain an enormous 1400 mAh capacity utilizing the highest quality nickel metal hydride cells assembled with low resistance connections, silicone insulated wires, an easy to use plug and best of all they easily fit in the Team Losi Micro-T.
I also like the sound of :
Ball Bearings: BB-Equipped Transmission
And also :
Weight: 3.4 oz (96g)
I'm still exited

This is cool!
This seems to always happen to me
I have been working on something similar.
This is coming to me any day now. 1/32 scale
Image

The body is about 5 inches long. And I was going to use ZZMT stuff to power it. But if the micro t is propo, then I may need to get the electronics out of it :???:

By the way Tamiya has a few monster Jr kits that the bodies would look cool on this

I want it!

My Mini T is my favortist RC ever, but with just a few upgrades is already too fast for indoors. I think this may be my ultimate answer. They better have the baja bug bodies for those.

How come everytime I think I have an RC I'm happy with somebody else comes along with something that I have to have?
...crazy man, crazy...dig it.

hmm.... that intrigues me. let's think about how small the micro-t is. It is smaller than a mini-z! If those batteries are the same size as the ones in 1/18ths there's no way they're gonna fit in the micro-t. And, if they did, do you know how heavy those would be compared to the car itself?

Is there any more info on them batts, like dimensions, etc.? Got a link?

EDIT found the link:

http://www.helgerracing.com/J18peak/j18 ... page1.html

along with a few battery packs there's also a motor.

and of course it's already on the bay courtesy of dinball

'Bay link
Since 1985, Peak Racing has been producing high performance racing motors for all R/C car applications. With the release of the immensely popular Team Losi Micro-T, Peak Racing continues this trend with the release of the high performance Raider micro off-road motor. Increased power is always welcome - and the Raider delivers!
Because of its unique dimensions, the Raider comes with its very own motor plate to replace the stock version.
Those cells must be smaller because they're calling them micro cells...
