He was always good, I loved him in the unofficial laugh in reunion on Mad About You. Crappy video, but still worth watching:

I know this is for famous people, but I don't care I'm hijacking the RIP thread.

I swear, these wars we're having don't feel like wars. You can live your life without even thinking about them most of the time. It's sad really, we have kids risking their lives while we go on with our lives unaffected.

Then one day out of the blue it hits you; we are at war. People are suffering, fighting and dieing every day, and your biggest concern is what's on TV tonight. It's a damned shame.

RIP Spc. Damon G. Winkleman. I didn't know you well, but I know your family and I remember the little boy who used to hang around. I remember the kid that was so excited when his parents moved beside a race track. And most of all, I remember the pride your family felt when you chose to serve your country. you will be missed.

Spc. Damon G. Winkleman, a 23-year-old combat medic from Lakeville, Ohio, died of injuries sustained in a vehicle rollover in Zabul province.
Winkleman joined the Army in September 2007, enlisting as a combat medic.

In May 2008, he reported to the 82nd Airborne Division and was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment as a combat medic.

"Spc. Winkleman was an outstanding medic and paratrooper. He was passionate about his profession, always eager to gain more medical knowledge. He was more than willing to care for his fellow paratroopers in their time of need and will be sorely missed by all," said Staff Sgt. William Epps, the medical platoon sergeant.

Winkleman is survived by his parents, Richard and Patricia Winkleman of Lakeville, Ohio.

Winkleman's awards and decorations include the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Afghan Campaign Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Parachutists Badge.

It's a great profession, very much needed, it's just a damned shame that we need it. Be as careful as you can be.

Keep an eye out for Nat Frawley on your travels. He's a good kid.

Good luck to you betty. I always felt medics were way too under appreciated. Those guys took care of us on anything from cold/flu to major injuries. Hell, they even helped with hang-overs. We had good medics in our battalion.

I'd MUCH rather hear about our servicemen/women than Michael Jackson. Yup, he's still dead, less creepy now, but dead.

Sorry to hear about the guy you knew going.

*Hijack* Sidewinder, read Orwells "1984" again. "These wars we're having don't feel like wars. You can live your life without even thinking about them most of the time. It's sad really, we have kids risking their lives while we go on with our lives unaffected."

Sorry to hear that, how's your Dad (and you) doing? That has to be one of the toughest things to go through. Anyway, you guys will be in my prayers.

I guess he's doing ok now.... He, mom and my Aunt have been going up when they can to take care of the misc. stuff. She lived about 3-4 hours away from Dad, add another half hour or so for me, so dealing with the formalities is tough for them. And things won't be settled with grandma's house until 4 months after they had filed the papers with the court. Crazy stuff.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

What really makes me feel old is that I totally remember him - even before the Cindy Lauper video.

We didn't get MTV because the town was afraid it would warp the kids or something...but we did get wrestling :-o I loved Captain Lou...and Cindy was hot in a baby-talking semi-retarded sort of way.

Skip forward to about 1:13 on this one.

Clueless Co-Star Brittany Murphy Dead at 32

Image

Brittany Murphy, who made a splash playing the makeover victim in Clueless and later battled substance abuse, died today in Los Angeles. She was 32. The LA Fire Department was called to a home owned by Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack, where she was found in cardiac arrest and could not be revived, TMZ reports and multiple sources are confirming.

The LAPD and the county coroner will investigate the death of the actress, who also appeared in 8 Mile and Don't Say a Word.
Damn shame too, so young...very pretty...rich...famous... and apparently all f that wasn't enough.
