Traxxas QR1?

Post by Murdoch »

I don't know if many of you guys still read these boards, but I picked one of these up (rebadged as an Estes Dart), and it is just a ton of fun to fly around. It's about as big as my hand, and I've been flying it around the house almost non stop.

i'm tellin ya, if you want something other than a coax or fixed pitch, and you want it small.. grab one of these guys.

It's also known as a hubsan x4/estes dart. Lots of stuff you can do to these things too.

If that's tempting, check out the video of me flying it.

I swapped out the ear plugs for some actual skids. I like it this way now.

Not bad. It's a pretty basic radio, but it feels good in the hands. Good feel on the sticks aswell, but just be aware that rudder (yaw) action doesn't happen until about half way. Not sure why it's set up like that, but oh well.

ok, i got sucked in to buying the hubsan x4.

fucking brilliant!

the genius thing is that it uses an accelerometer for stability, it's pretty much impossible to fuck up with this thing. take your hands off the sticks and it wants to fly level even after a flip.
