All about RCs in the air. If it's a plane, a helicopter, a ufo, or anything else that flies in the air - it goes here.

The one thing I learned since flying cp helis is that small collective inputs are the way to go. I have crashed many times due to dumb thumbing the sticks. Smaller the input, more stability. I have never flown a fly barred bird, so I have no idea how stable they are compared to fbl ones.

Keep at it! It took me about three months of practice to keep the damn thing in the air for more than a minute. I practiced hovering in all orientations before trying forward flight. Once I got used to it, I started practicing inverted hovering (again in all orientations) Now I can do light 3d manuevers without getting nervous and dumb thumbing it into the ground. Collective pitch helis are one of the hardest things I have ever got into. Never flown one with a flybar, but I'm told crashes tend to be much worse due to the paddles wiping out canopies, tail booms etc.
