Yep there's one in the mall, Metrocenter, I never been to that one. The one by me is an oudoor cement one. It's cooler to me 'cause the local punk bands raised the money for it by playing shows, and then petitioned the state to get it put in. So a few of my buddies were involved in getting it there.VooDooMafia wrote:Nicecrazydave wrote:Hey guess what? Hell I still skate (well try to lol) so when you say you "were a Skate Kid" I can relate with teh only difference being I still am. Thats one of the reasons I bought this house I am 5 mins away form teh skatepark
I sold my board last year (to buy a bit), but my 3yo somehow managed to score a cool ol' skool board off of one the neighbors. It just needs some grip tape, and I'm back in action.
Yea I know there is a SkatePark in one of the Malls there. Last time my wife was down there on Biz she saw it(even on a biz trip she has time to hit the mall.....hehe).
Yea I am in the works of setttin up a biz trip for when I return to work, I figured why should I pay for it. All I need it some 2 outfits, quarters for laundry, bits, xmod and booze and we will be all set.
That'll be cool if you get your trip together, I could use someone to race. I might have to build a bigger track.

Yea I hope it gets off to, but I do have a cure for small tracks.
The smaller the track the more you drink, that way you just blame it all on the booze
I will have to bring some of my secret weapons to take you on..........Oh wait a sec some of them came from you so scratch that

yea I remember when Skate vids just started getting big with "The search for Animal Chin", "Ban This" and others. I still have them all on BETA.
One thing I dont remember is it hurting as much back then as it does now. For some odd reason I just dont seem to bounce like I used to.

"Ban this" is a freakin classic. I remember how freakin joyfull I was when I finally got a nice hstreet deck and my indy trucks with the powell wheels. Steping up from the kmart board.
Then I got into drugs and girls and the wheels were put away. I sorta relapsed about 6 yrs ago, but strictly off-road. I still own that stick, got a pic of it somewhere on this comp.

Daaaayum, you 2 are hardcore!
I just smoke too much, and fight corporate BS from the bottom, like a true underdog.
My first deck was a Sims Snake in like '78. I was into roller skating at the time, 8 yo, and sponsered by a local shop. They threw me a skateboard cause they weren't selling. They also threw me some of the original Van's, because they actaully didn't catch on at first.
Later when I was 13 I got into skateboarding more seriously. I skated Big ol' wide 11" and 12" decks, usually JFAs, cause they were the local boys, but i had a couple Skull skates too. Then I had my big ol' wide ass Indy 215s. I went through all kinds of wheels. That was the set up for skating ditches and pools, which is what we did a lot here in Arizona.

I hear that. When I started back up, and fell over, I was no prob, I can handle it. Then like a week later I'm still hurtin' Sucks getting old.VooDooMafia wrote:Man the good old days eh...SuperFly wrote:I gotta find the pix of me being "hardcore" on a self-built 1/4 pipe out in front of my house, 6th grade, 1979.
