BTW: One battery pack should have some charge in it.

I just ran it, seconds ago. Well the gear you said was stripped, was stripped.

I gotta dig aroud to see which one.

Other than that, everything else seems fine. I fixed the antenna plastic and charged the batteries.

Hmm, I thought it was stripped, but I ran it that one last time before I sent it off and it ran. Did it not run at all?

It's cool, I just ordered some new gears and a ball diff from Stella, not sure if they are the right ones or if I actually need them, but I figured it couldn't hurt having them on hand incase of emergency.

In a way I'm sorta glad there is something I can investigate and actually have a reason to tear it apart and find out whats wrong, instead of just doing it for the hell of it. I need to learn the workings of it anyway, better sooner than later!!

Whih ball diff did you get? The 3Racing and MIP diffs are both pretty decent. As far as your gears, pick up a nice alloy pinion(Trinity), stay away from the GPM's. and for the spur gear, get a GPM delrin gear.
Future upgrades to consider are bearings, oil shocks, and a 7.2 volt battery pack. After your stock motor burns out, pick up an Orion Baja, or one of the new Trinity's coming out....

Not sure if you said this somewhere else, but which Trinity motor does the truck have in it? The original Monster is not much faster than stock, but it is a nice upgrade. The Monster "Wild" version is comparable in performance to the Oeion Baja and is capable of 20+mph if setup right. Which battery packs ar eyou running? Basically all major brand name batteries are crap, they cost alot, but perform poorly, but the Trinity VIS Matched packs can pack quite a punch. For the best (and cheapest) performance buy a pack made of KAN 1050 cells, or GP 1100 cells. On lower draw motors (stock) you might not be able to tell the difference, but with modified, and brushless motors, the "punch" of th epack is clearly visible. A good site for batteries is:

a nice 6 cell GP pack is around 20 bucks....

You will also want to pick up some oil shocks, Losi's are very nie when setup properly, and the leakage problem has been fixed using different o-rings. GPM also has a shock set, but they do not perform as well as the Losi's....

.. Just need a good charger. I have a Super Brain 959 and it works great... Sometimes there is a problem with a false peak.. but there is a fix for that. I did it on mine and it never has a problem. Let me know if you get one of these, I will hook ya up with the mod.

As for the Shocks, I got Buds Racing Shocks... they are basically modified Micro VCS's they are nice too, no leakage. Can't say anything about the others... Never had them

I found that the gear problem was only a stripped pinion.

As far as all this other stuff, I'm lost. But now that your puttin' up all this info, I can have an idea on where to look and what to look for in different products.

The batts that I got are the Losi ones. I'm sure Ahh5hit can tell you specifics. I haven't had much time yet to really get into the different parts yet.

What has me thinkin' is that brushless setup that was mentioned earlier.

Like I said earlier, I'm new to this RC thing in general (Jan. '04), but keep the quality info flowing!!! Its nice to be able to stay at home (BitPimps) and still learn something about a larger scale from people that you already know and trust their judgement and knowlege.

Well, the Losi battery packs arn't the greatst but they will do fine until you decide to go brushless. As far as the battery false peaking, I'm thinking that's a problem relating to your charger. I use a Duratrax Pirhana Digital charger, it's a nice mid-level charger, and is really adjustable, you can find them for around 40-50 bucks sometimes. I ordered an 8 cell GP 1100 pack from Team Helotes last week, but haven't got it yet. With the 8 cell I am expecting 50 mph like I said earlier....
As far as the green parts, they don't exist, and never will...

I would suggest buying the parts in natural finish aluminum, and getting them anodized yourself...
Oh, and for the oil shocks, the BRP shocks he has, are the preferred choice for carpet racing the Mini-T, but in an offroad race, the only way to go is with the Losi's....
