That was not my beef at all.The only real beef you guys got here is you got wind of the original case purchase price and just couldn't see paying for reasonable packaging, research, shipping and someones time.
My beef is the info about the lack of proportional steering was withheld until after that first auction ended, under the pretense, that you asked for the exclusive first review.
I think my point got lost in Hog's rant or something, but you said yourself, Azimov, that you never asked for an exclusive, or anything like that, so will someone please acknowledge me when I say, the guy was playing games with us, and I do NOT appreciate being dicked around.
$35+shipping, so at least $40 to my door. Sorry dude, I'm not made of money. I'm broke, that's why I have a cheap hobby. I would have felt misled and ripped off, and since I almost went for one of those cars, I do feel misled and ripped off.
Furthermore, notice none of us even wanted do the group buy after we read the review. So it's not that we weren't willing pay, we just lost interest, because the cars are not what we were led to believe.
...and if my point gets lost in the rabble again, I'm gonna go freakin' nutso on ya'll.

Well, you guys are right that the cars arent worth the price paid as compared to other micros. But, when factoring in the other circumstances, it was a fair price. I'm not sure if there was any slight of hand as to stalling on information until the end of auction, maybe so. And, the review was slightly bias and hyped to maximize buyer interest. Seems what happened here is a long time member found a source and decided to capitalize on it rather than offer a good deal to the forum. This was taken as an insult and this combined with stalling on info and high pricing left a bad taste in the mouths of some. But, I got the impression from the seller's posts that he is a regular ebay seller. A direct market salesman as it were. "It's not propo, but it sure feels like it is." That's sales hype. I noticed this in the emails I recieved. Once you see it, you know to read in between the lines. Everybody thought these things had propo steering. The seller knew the cars not being propo would be a big let down, so he lessened the blow. This isn't immoral, lying, or misleading when discussing a business deal. It's the good ole American way called capitalisim. It's the underlying infrastructure of our brand of democracy. It's what is fucking up our government as we speak and is the main thrust for domination of world oil resources. Y'know, it never ceases to amaze me that we all stand teary eyed and wave our lil flags like good patriots, but do a complete 180 when the principles we endorse come back on us through a simple toy car deal. Or a cell phone bill with all those lovely surprises. Or a used car purchase. Or a doctor's bloated bill. Or dealing with the DMV. Though the seller is Canadian, like all true capitalists, he understands the system and uses it to his advantage. These tactics aren't unusual, they are the norm. It's just that we try really hard not to see it unless it effects us directly. It's a shame we don't do this in conjunction with the behavior of our leaders, but there ya are.

like sand through the hourglass...
these are the days of our lives.
so far these threads seemed to be based more on personal opinions than anything else.
isn't this a dead issue by now or is it seriously keeping everyone up late at night?

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Yah, I know that. That's why I browse this forum often. True, I have been around a long time, but I post over at TRC most of the time in the Zip section. I don't own any bits, and to be honest, don't like em all that much. So, I never really posted here a lot as I mostly piddle with Zips. I think the last time I briefly spoke out here was when you guys did the 2nd alloy rim group buy. I got three sets (and I swear I'll post some pics of them here soon) and appreciated the effort very much. Sorry if I got a tad long winded. I'll try to restrict my posts to stickers and big tail pipes.nah we dont expect you to kiss our ass here or buy our overpriced shit. straight up we can be assholes but only to those who need it. those who actually come here to show us their work and discuss improving bits and shit get a lot more leniency.

Man, leave it to Az to spin the details into a political debate!
A BIG difference between the Government pulling ‘Capitalistic’ hokey-pokey and an individual doing so is that with the Government about the only way to fight back is to Vote and perhaps become active in the political scene to TRY and better the situation. Realistically the best you can hope for is to make SOME difference…But if an individual shows up on the scene, in a small and potentially hostile environment (such as bitPimps), and pulls that same Capitalistic hokey-pokey? Well, we all saw how that turned out.
Az, your animosity is warranted but I think you’re pointing the backlash towards the wrong people here my friend. It was a specific person that made false claims under your name, withheld information for the sake of self-profit and in general left some folks here with a bad taste in their mouth.
It’s a different clan of people here, considerably less leniency for ‘capitalistic’ measures.

LOL, you know me too well!Man, leave it to Az to spin the details into a political debate!
Agreed! Points well taken. Far be it from me to defend capitalisim. I have my gripes with it. Not sure how I ended up being on the side I usually scorn.A BIG difference between the Government pulling ‘Capitalistic’ hokey-pokey and an individual doing so is that with the Government about the only way to fight back is to Vote and perhaps become active in the political scene to TRY and better the situation. Hmmm, another good point. I didn't mean to defend the guy, just point out that what he did is not uncommmon. But, you are right, I zigged when I prolly shoulda zagged.Az, your animosity is warranted but I think you’re pointing the backlash towards the wrong people here my friend.
