new zipzaps se's - faster?
well after a few days running my viper se, i'm thinking rs made a change to the pcb to increase the speed. the viper seems faster than my other se's. on the otherhand, i seem to be the only one thinking this as i haven't seen any other comments on the new se's (other than how rs butchered the bodies). so either...
a) i'm getting old and seeing things
b) my other se's were lemons
c) i'm the only one who bought a new se
here's a quick video i made of the viper chassis running with the stock motor and gears.

Welcome man... I like the way you post with vids and all... Cool vid too. Looks pretty damn peppy for a stock SE. I'm gonna have to pick one of those up. I just can't stand that fuckin body. Man I wish they just sold the chassis.
How's the stutter? No chassis warp?

In my case, I found that even though my Chevelle seemed much peppier than an original Savannah, I found they are exactly the same after I put FETs in them and do all the appropriate bypasses. So while I'm curious if the new SE will be any better than the old ones with the same mods, I'm doubtful, so I'm just not so eager run out and by one just for that little experiment, especially since I have no interest in the new bodies.
...but that's cool they are still improving them.
Besides, I'm saving my money for the monster trucks, and Corvette body sets. If those live up to my expectations, I will be buying a bunch.

Yeah, nice vid man. You obviously took the time to think about the perspective of the shot. The vid gives me a pretty good idea of the speed difference. It does appear to be a bit more peppy...especially if that is a stock motor. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to pick up the Ford GT.
BOURBON TIME OUT!
