My Visit To RS......
There is an RS down by the job in the Underground that I stop twice a week
to see what's new. This time the manager talked to me. He was surprised
at my knowledge of 1/64 scale cars.
As we talked further we went over to the monitor and came to Da Hood
where I took him thru my Gallery. This cat freak'd man. He couldn't
believe that there was so much interest out here for the 1/64 cars.
He started calling the other employees over to see the Dark1's Gallery.
He was talkin about make'n a display to show pics of my cars ?????
Next thing I know he was telling me about how dead it is down there on the weekend
(mostly bussiness district) and wanted to see if he can sponsor weekend races.
(with mall management approval) He was going to talk to his District Manager about it.
I asked him what they did with broken/returned ZipZaps.
He jump'd and ran to the back saying he thought they had a
box of old ZZ stuff in back. He came back empty handed but said to check
back and he'll give me what he has. Can U Say HOOK UP ?
Even if they don't do races, I'll be happy just getting some free shit
Oh Yeah! They haven't gotten anything new, but it's coming!

Damn, a hook-up on returned RS merchandise would be great. They just throw them away, and 95% of the parts would be salvagable. Or you could do like hue and talk them into giving you broken, returned cars, then bring it back when someone else is working and trade it in for a new one in the package, because, well, it's broken.

Dude, I've only done that, like, 4 or 5 times... maybe a dozen... you make it sound like a lifestyle.SuperFly wrote:Damn, a hook-up on returned RS merchandise would be great. Damn....that was definitely a productive visit to the shack, even if you did come back empty handed....this time. Races would be cool too.
I have quite a few shacks in my area. I have had a few conversations with some of the guys in the closest shack to my home. They know my face and let me know if new shit is in as soon as I walk through the door. They are always amazed at how much I know about these things before they even come out, when they were retired, etc.
I've never even thought of asking them what they do with the returned stuff.
Maybe its time to introduce those guys to the hood too. I'm sure they would love to get a load of payaso's death cuda, the jowlz camaro and firebird, The DT slammed mercedes, hue's frankenzaps, CD's slammed F150 and the hotrod camaro, etc..

LOL ! U Guys Kill Me !Dude, I've only done that, like, 4 or 5 times... maybe a dozen... you make it sound like a lifestyle.
Yea I gotta put out the word to more RS about broken shit.
He said he like ZZ better, I said better than what? "Well, Well...... I guess
I'm bias" then he asked "Which do you like best" I said Bits ! Then went
into the reason the 1st ZZ's turned me off but also how much they've
improved over the years.
He 1st rattled about how cool the SE's were "They're digitally controlled and this and that.
I said they're cool but they sit too high on the chassis
and it's difficult to drop unlike the normal ZZ, THEN we proceeded to the
monitor to visit Da Hood so I can show him what a Dropped 1/64 looks
like. Of course he dug Hues convertable Camaro on the front page,
He looked a lil confused then I told him how it was cut down to fit a Bit chassis.
Then I showed him the SL & PT Bruiser I did. So we'll see, I'll keep stopp'n by..........
