Just saw the review in the latest RC Driver Mag. They would release it just in time for the Christmas season when it will start getting too cold to play with it in the pool.

What's this you speak of about being too cold in the winter for a pool run?

RC Driver had it pictured behind a MT. Up north we close our pools in the winter.

Not quite stock

2x2 IRF 7389 FETs
Motor; custom 31 gage BSRT Spinner ARM, gold contacts, auto-aligning end-bell and more.
Battery Packs: Shown with 600 mAh LiPo HP LiPo pack, am experimenting with parallel E-Tec 210 packs, I use them separately or charge both packs then plug them in with a parallel adapter for longer run times, so far this setup is working nicely 4 E-Tec 210 cells end up being exactly the same size and weight as the stock pack.

Sort of depends what you mean by locally, the boat in the above photo came through Kyosho America over a month ago, has anyone tried ordering one through one of the stores listed on their website? I should clarify that I didn’t buy the boat it was sent to me to play around with and see what I could do to one, seems to me that they should be available by now, although I wouldn’t expect to see them sitting on a shelf just yet.

I did a quick search and noticed that RC Tech here in the US has them listed, they have a store just south of San Francisco. Unless they really took off I wouldn’t expect to see them at many “local” on-line stores since it’s hard to compete with the HK shops unless you are handling larger volumes. I did notice a few on e-Bay with US shipping locations though. Didn't see anything down under but then I hear that shipping is much faster, and maybe even cheaper from HK so I wouldn't expect to.
