cool new products from atomic and 3racing

Post by betty.k »

bought some interesting new stuff for my mr02 recently and thought i'd share.

first up is the f.r.p.t. plate. it's basically a tough plastic hplate with interchangeable springs (roll bars) that mount in the hplate to tune the stiffness.
in use it's excellent, i got the hard one with the hard spring installed. gives just the right amount of up/down spring and is nice an firm in cornering.
this should replace every rear spring you'll ever see. :-o

next up is rims. i've always wanted dish rims for my z but didn't want to shell out for those topcads. and you never know what the offsets are from the pics.
but atomic got a full range of dish rims in black or white, front or rear (narrow or wide) and in every offset you could want.
they're much thicker than any other plastic rim i've seen, really solid. especially where it counts, around the inside bb recess. and they spin really true.
i think they look cool too! :-o

I was just eyeballin' the same shit for my MR-02 the other day at Dinball... that H plate setup looks sweet & so do the wheels. I actually put up the cash for those TopCads ('cuz obviously we had the same vision for our silver F1's), but they didn't fit... that was a year ago, so I don't remember exactly, but I think they stuck out a bit too far up front. It sucked, 'cuz they looked great... that silver lip was beautiful. Nice grab, betty.. I'll be curious to see how that H plate works out.

<pants.shit=1>

I'm not sure what the different offsets are for (width? god I hope so), but I'm definately going to get an iwaver now. I like the new iwaver shells! =)

and for anyone wanting an update on the rims and hplates, the dish rims are still spinning true despite my best attempts to have them do otherwise! :lol:
the hplates perform superbly and last longer than carbon fibre ones.

use many, buy lots! :-o
