Two Skylines

If you're wondering why I call them both Skylines, in japan, the G35 is the V35 Skyline, as Nissan doesn't market Infiniti there (until recently).

Now, I had heard they're based off the same chassis, but isn't the Skyline AWD, and the G35 2WD? I don't know, I'm just curious.

I wouldn't mind a G35 in real life, nice cars.

Well the 34 Series Skylines on the R platforms were discontinued in August of 2004, to be replaced by the V Series Skylines on the FM platform, shared with the Z. In America, the car is called the Infiniti G35, while in Japan, it's the (new) Nissan Skyline. This stuff gets confusing sometimes. Soon there will be the new GTR in 2006 as an '07 model, and its coming to America too.

For the shadow, it is just the controller at an awkward andle, and Linus just happened to be in the pic by accident along with the rest of the mess.

The infinity is to nissan, as lexus is to toyota. Sorry to say, but you americans just couldn't accept having an "import" . So what the two companies did (and they're not the only 2), was to rebadge their cars with a more luxurious edge and sell it to the wanting americans. So the G35 is a more executive skyline, and the IS300 is a classier Altezza.

Well duh, I knew that. Its just that one of the appeals of the Skyline in racing games to me is the AWD handling, and I was curious if Skyline would continue to be AWD in future models, because to the best of my knowledge the G35 only comes in 2wd.

CD, the G35x comes with variable AWD and so the new Skyline.
Rumored to come to North America in 2008 the new skyline will have twin turbo V6 450hp, sequential 7 speed, variable AWD.

What about this "GT-R" by Top Secret, a modified G/V-35. It isn't awd, but Smokey shoe-horned a twin-turbo 4.5L V8 in there, making somewhere in the neighborhood of 700hp. He hit 215mph on the Autobahn with this car too. And it sounds really pissed off.

Looks tough. I like the g35, or w.e name its given lol. It is a more prestigious look compared to the older skylines. In my opinion I hate the look of ther GTRs and the other Skylines, they look like long rectangles or boxes. But I admire thier performance especially the AWD!

The new Skyline sounds absolutely wicked, and the specs are just amazing; but I'm *DEFINATELY* not all about it's new style. God damn that is a hideous motherf*cker. Hopefully the aftermarket will come through with some body kits that can make it look decent.

Wish the US market got atleast one of the older ones that looked cool. Oh well, atleast we get a Skyline in performance, even if not one in looks.

Man, one ugly ass car... The problem with the design is: a beautiful car only looks good because it doesn't look damaged. That car would still look the same with a fender ripped off... It looks like shit

The headlighs look like gashes... the grill has no distinction. It's a bad front design. The rear on the other hand looks good n clean

As far as the Skyline debate, I think they'll never get a body as good as the Skyline 2000 body. In fact, every year since 2000, they seem to get worse and worse. I guess they're just gonna copy the 350Z because they know that's a safe bet.

Nope, found a wall @ about 10mph the day after the front bumper broke off. Day after that, I broke the rear axleshafts during a high speed rollover. Removed the awd and returned it to rwd. Two days later another high speed rollover kills another axleshaft, and the wheel that was on it.

The front bumper was ripped off by uneven sidewalk and high (enough) speeds. The missing headlight was broken off with the bumper, but couldn't be recovered
