did these things ever make it into full production? i just remember seeing a few auctions a while back that had unpainted shells, and iirc, the seller was one of the founders of the company. made me wonder if they just bailed on the concept.

might have to get one for the collection even at $40. heck, i spent $40 on my first original zipzap. remember when they first came out and the only place you could get them was on ebay? ahh, the good ole days!

well these guys are legit. the seller, autosport, is actually a pretty big mail order place for auto accessories. some of you probably received their catalogs in the mail. anyway, the first car i received didn't function correctly; the car was a lot faster in reverse than going forward. they sent a return label right away for me to send the old one back, and followed up with a replacement car.

Yeah I do get their catalog and have ordered from them with success.
They also put one out last week for half that price................ 8-)

Good eye DT! I noticed it, but only in the "completed auctions"

EDIT: Richh, i noticed that another customer got a bad car, but they handled that well too. I wonder if they sent that same chassis to you or something?

everything looked new, but i guess you can't tell for sure as the box isn't taped up. anyway, the second car works great. i'm glad i have one for my collection. i did notice something strange. on the back of the box there's some promotional text along with some car sompany logos. apparently the companies of the other shells they were going to do. anyway on both boxes, the bmw logo was covered up by a white sticker. maybe they had issues with the licensing deal with bmw...
