yup got them today. the boards look good. :-o Thanks

I think the mail thought it was a terrorist device.
the letter was torn in half and inspected(and not in a nice way)
then they put it in a new clear package envelope and
wrote an apology letter for opening it.

Thanks..got a few projects for them.

Since I needed a TX for these, last week I went asking the dude at the lhs if he had any used AM Radios for sale. He didnt, but said he'd hold on to one for me if he came across it.

Came back yesterday looking to pick up some parts and lo and behold,
he slapped an IW02 GT40 (orange/blue) ready set on the counter
and said $35.

Box was dusty and opened..but it was not used. He had it in the back office for a while and had forgotten about it.

Slapped it together, holy chassis tweak batman.. It was binding on left
turns and the left rear wheel was off the ground. Took the whole car apart,
cut off all the casting flash from the chassis parts. Few cuts here and
there, better but not perfect. Left rear wheel was still slightly off the ground, but the binding was gone.

Soaked the main plate in hot water, put a nice counter-twist on the chassis with a couple peices of wood and some rubber bands.
Turns out the body clip holder on the front of the gt40 was also not
glued on properly. Had to grind down some plastic to let the body clip lie
flat in it. I've heard of IW horror stories...but damn. At least now it
works as it should.

The TX is real nice with the digital trims all over, it's no MX-3..but it works
as intended, especially for the price.

Now I also see why you iw/mini-z guys wont race with xmods..the weight difference is huge, especially if the xmod is gpm'd.

Sweet , glad to know they got there.

Ahaha , I forgot about all that terrorist shit , maybe I should have shipped it in a clear bag :?

IW02 horror story's are true , I've never had a MM one that works properly , one of the rear wheels is ALWAYS off of the ground , since I bought a lot of them (16) I ended up scrapping at least 6 :o , that's where all my iwaver parts n PCB's come from :-o

But $35 is a friggin steal , and the GT40 is nice too!
